Congratulations Glynis Robinson 🙂

Edenthorpe Resident of the Year 2018
Introduction : Last year saw the very first Resident of the Year award, which was given to Jen Oxley. Jen has continued to tirelessly work on planting around the village and is of course one of this year’s nominees. There were four other residents nominated this year, who have all contributed substantially in various ways for the benefit of the village. This year’s winner is
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS – GLYNIS ROBINSON.

Glynis became involved with the 47th Doncaster (Edenthorpe) Scout Group over 20 years ago, when her eldest son joined the Beaver Colony. She volunteered to become the Group Treasurer and then went on to resurrect the fund-raising activities undertaken by the Group. Over the years Glynis has helped raise a considerable income for the Group.
Eventually relinquishing the role of Treasurer Glynis then become an Assistant Cub Scout Leader. A little later the Cub Scout Leader had to give up the position, Glynis very kindly volunteered to take on this role, and continues to fulfil this role with dedication and unbounded enthusiasm. The number of activities and camps (outdoor and indoor) has increased considerably over the years.
Many families in the village will know Glynis as Akela and are extremely grateful for the experiences you have provided for their children.

Congratulations Glynis, you are Edenthorpe Resident of the Year 2018.
From all of us at Edenthorpe Parish Council.
