Huge thanks go to local business  – Doncaster Vehicle Spares, Doncaster Rd, Kirk Sandall for their very generous donation of a Platinum leisure battery.

Fred, Dave & Anne were all set to bowser the planters in the village, except the battery (despite being on charge) was flat, flat, flat! The planters were in desperate need of watering so  a phone call to Doncaster Vehicle Spares  was made to see if a suitable battery (which powers the water motor), was in stock.  Good news, battery in stock and even better news followed. They wanted to donate the battery to Edenthorpe Parish Council, as it is to be used for the benefit of the village of Edenthorpe.

A brand new competition is to be launched today with the deadline to be July 12th 2018. One month to enter your project which should be entitled – “My favourite cycling route in Yorkshire and the Humber.”

New date announced!

At our Parish Council meeting last night, members organised the next date for a litter pick to take place in Edenthorpe. The one held in March was well attended and very successful. This was followed by Tesco, Edenthorpe doing their own litter pick. I wonder if Sainsbury’s will follow the example.

Our next litter pick will be held on Thursday August 30th 2018. All volunteers welcome, equipment will be provided. Please meet in Tesco overflow car park at 1pm. Thank you.
