577 houses planned for Land East of Mere Lane

Have your Say!

I have today, received this email from Senior Planner at Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners Ltd regarding the housing proposed for Mere Lane. This was strongly opposed by Edenthorpe Parish Council, Doncaster MBC and many residents. However, Central Government gave the permission for the application to proceed.

Please see attached leaflet which many residents will have received through their doors.

MA40968 Mere Lane, Edenthorpe – A5 Leaflet – Mar21

“I am writing to inform you of a public consultation that is currently underway for Reserved Matters applications relating to the outline approval for the development of approximately 600 homes on land at Mere Lane, Edenthorpe. A copy of the consultation leaflet, which has been sent to local residents, is attached to this email. The leaflet provides information about the proposed details of the application and includes a link to a consultation website that has been set up to provide further information about the proposals and gives an opportunity for residents to leave feedback”.

Here is the link you’ve been waiting for, the link that will allow you to join us for the preview event for the Danum Gallery, Library and Museum: https://www.heritagedoncaster.org.uk/dglam/

The event will premiere ONLINE at 2.00pm on Wednesday 17th March 2021.  However, if you are unavailable at this time it’s not a problem, as the event can be viewed at any time to suit you after the premiere and will remain online for some time into the future.

The Online Preview will allow you to take a self-guided tour of the building by navigating through each floor, stopping to view one of the many links to mini tours, descriptive narrative of exhibits and lots more information about the building in general.

Please note that this is an online event only and the building remains closed at present due to current Covid restrictions, but as soon as enjoy at your leisure.

Whilst this preview includes plenty of great content, be assured that there are many other fantastic things to see and do.  Whether you are a keen rail enthusiast, book reader, art lover, Doncastrian with a love for history or an ex-pupil keen to see how the Girl’s School has been restored, there is something for everyone.

Although you have been sent this link as one of our invited guests, the preview is open to everyone and we would like to ask you to share this link with anyone you feel might be interested in watching the preview; you may also share it on social media if you wish to.
